Thank you for reaching us on TD Helps, Frieda. We'd be glad to discuss.
There are times where TD will send you email notification in regards to your account. If you have balance alerts set up or you're enrolled in paperless statements, we will send an email notification informing you of your balance threshold or that your statement is available for view. The same goes for scheduled bill payments.
If the notice you've received is in regards to something different, it may be an email attempting to phish information. If this is the case, we recommend that you do not click any links and we'd appreciate a copy for our research. Please forward it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also call our Phishing and Identity Theft Hotline at 800-893-8554 for assistance.
After you've forwarded this email to the address mentioned above, it is recommended to delete the original email.
We also invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1pxZPLh for information on Security Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that may help if you have any additional questions and concerns. TD Bank will never email you and ask you to provide personal information. Check out this link for more details about security: http://bit.ly/1sfKEnw.
We hope this helps, Frieda and have a good day.
