Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps, Kathy! We are happy to help provide some guidance on deposits.
To deposit a third party check into your account, both yourself and the other party, must visit a local TD Store and sign the "Endorsement Authorization and Release" form. If the item is over $1000, this form must be also be notarized. This document allows the individual to deposit the check into their account even if the other party is not listed as the signer on the account. Please note that your account will be debited for the check if it is returned. Government or insurance issued checks will not be accepted unless the payee(s) are signers on the depositing account.
For a list of TD Stores, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores. For more information on our "Personal Account Agreement" and the funds availability policy, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ starting on page 5.
We hope this helps, Kathy. Have a great weekend!
