I was given a check and the check is from TD Bank. Can I come to TD and cash the check? Is there a check cashing fee? I am not a member of TD. My fiancé has a TD account, if I sign the check over to him, can he cash it and avoid fee; if there is a fee?

Thanks for joining us here on TD Helps, Ashley.
As you are not currently a TD Bank Customer and would like to cash a check drawn on TD Bank, you may still do so even if the check was made payable to Cash. There is a fee of $7.00 per check for this check cashing service. However, if you wish to open an account with us, this fee will be waived. Please note; fees are subject to change.
As you mentioned you would like to sign over the check to your fiancé, you may do so; however the both of you must visit a TD Store together with valid I.D.'s (State I.D., Driver's License or Passport). You would then need to complete an Endorsement Authorization and Release form with one of our notaries at any of our TD Bank Stores. For TD Bank Store locations please follow http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Since we see you are writing to us from Seymour, Vancouver, CA, feel free to check out http://bit.ly/1J1PwW2 as our partners in TD Canada Trust have also received similar questions like yours.
