Thanks for reaching us on TD Helps, Todd. We'd be glad to assist.
We recommend obtaining a Debit Card prior to your trip so you may have access to your funds. You are able to visit any TD Store during lobby hours to do so. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores. Be sure to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.).
During your visit, we recommend placing a Travel Notification on your account. Please keep in mind, a Travel Notification helps us recognize unauthorized transactions on your account. Please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set.
We want to make sure your trip is as stress-free as it can be, and we'd like to share with you that cards bearing the Visa logo are accepted at locations all over the world. However, please be sure to carry more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
For few a tips to manage your money when traveling please check out: http://bit.ly/1fO8wKy.
If you need any assistance with your account while away, feel free to call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000.
We hope to see you soon, Todd and have a good day.
