I have a limited credit history (less than 2 years and score of 600-650) and need a loan to restore my finances and improve my credit history by paying down the loan on time. I however have a cosigner with me who has an excellent credit history (3+ years and score of 720+). I just wanted to check if adding a cosigner would help my loan application?

Borrowing & Managing Your Credit
In reply to Aniruddha, Boston
Good morning and thank you for considering TD Bank for your borrowing needs, Aniruddha.
Generally speaking, having a co-borrower with higher credit reading than you should increase the chance of getting approved. However, we are unable to provide you with the loan decision until after the application is received and reviewed by our underwriters.
If you have additional questions before submitting your loan application, please reach out to our 24/7 Financial Solutions Group (FSG) Specialists directly at 800-937-5020. You may also visit us at the nearest TD Store location in your neighborhood, during lobby hours for assistance in person. To find out the nearest TD Store in your area, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We wish you the best of luck, Aniruddha. Have a great day!
