Welcome to TD Helps, Shauna! We appreciate you writing in from Dublin and would be glad to help our mutual Customer.
TD Bank Visa Debit cards can be used worldwide at any location which accepts Visa. If our customer hasn’t been able to use his card, he may not have a travel notification set at this time.
A travel notification helps us recognize unauthorized transactions on our customers' accounts. Additionally, for customer protection we will also continue to monitor card activity even when a notification is set, and the card may be blocked temporarily until we're able to verify the transactions.
The easiest way a customer can set a travel notification is to send us a Secured Message from their TD Bank Online Banking account. They can log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq with their user name and password. They can then send us a Secured Message by clicking on the Customer Service tab, and using the Send a Message link. We'll need the exact travel dates, destinations and any connecting flight information if applicable.
If a customer is not yet enrolled in Online Banking for their account and would like to enroll, they may click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. To complete this process and have immediate access to your account online, they'll need their account number, debit card number and Social Security number handy.
If they don't have some of the required info or can't log in, don't worry. They are also welcome to give us a call to place the travel note, and enroll in online banking as well if needed. A TD Bank Specialist can assist 24/7. From Ireland, please contact us from outside the United States on 1-856-751-9000, or call us collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
