We appreciate you reaching out to us here on TD Helps, Christianne.
We’d like to take this opportunity to let you know that money orders are valid for the time period based on the escheat law of the State. Money Orders may be reported as abandoned property if not cashed within the period of time set by each State’s Abandoned Property Laws. To search the laws on a State by State basis please visit http://bit.ly/1kGtIFG . For more information regarding your particular money order, we recommend reaching out to Abandoned Property Department at 800-281-0025 ext. 6414 for more information. If it is confirmed that the money order is still valid, you may visit any TD Bank Store to cash it. You can take a look here for TD locations near you: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps with your question and enjoy the rest of your day.
