Hey Carolanne , thanks for making a stop at TD Helps. Welcome to the TD Family! We'd be happy to help.
If you have an account with an outside Institution and they have an option to transfer funds into your new TD Account, you may wish to do so.
However; if you did not make your initial deposit during the account opening process, that is okay. Deposits can be made at any TD Bank Store nearby you, and you're welcome to visit here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a local listing. If you've received your TD Bank Visa debit card, deposits can also be made at any TD Bank ATM, or any ATM within the US that uses the NYCE network. Please note, if you make a deposit at a non-TD ATM, there may be delays to the funds availability. We invite you to check out our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ . On pages 38-41 you can find our full Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
You are also more than welcome to mail a deposit to us. To do so, please clearly write your account number and the words “For Deposit Only” on the back of your check and mail it to:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, ME 04243
Or, if you would like to send your deposit via FedEX or UPS, please use the address below:
TD Bank, N.A. Bank by Mail 140 Mill Street Lewiston ME 04243
Please also keep in mind that TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail - Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same - Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only") - Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed - Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy - If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly - Do not staple transactions
We hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. Enjoy your day!
