That's a great question, Sherrill and we'll be happy to respond. We hope you're doing well.
If you'd like to change the type of checking account you have, we can convert it to another type of checking account with no interruption to your current account number or debit card.
From your message, it sounds like you're already certain of the account type you prefer. Just in case, we invite you to view our checking account types here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF. We recommend comparing the current requirements of your account with the others listed to find the one which best fits you. You might also like to use our convenient Checking Account Selector, which can be found at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU to be sure you're switching to a better account.
It won't be necessary to visit a Store for this change, unless you prefer to. To make a switch, we invite you to give one of our knowledgeable Banking Specialists a call. For your convenience, they are available 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and can place a request to change the account type for you by phone.
You're also welcome to send us a Secured Message and we'll be happy to place an account type change for you. To do so, please log in at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you have done so, locate the Customer Service tab at the top right, and then click on Send a Message. Please submit your request, including the account number you're changing and the account type you prefer, and a friendly Representative will respond shortly.
And if you do decide to see us at a Store, feel free to stop in during our extended lobby hours. If you click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores, you can find the TD Bank Store and lobby hours nearest you.
We hope these options are convenient, Sherrill! If you have other questions, please respond on TD Helps and take care.
