This is a PTA account and the other signer has not responded to requests to meet to close this account. How can I close this account now? I am moving to another school.

Thanks for bringing your concerns to TD Helps today, Eileen.
We completely understand, and we're happy to announce that, at this time, any authorized signer can close a business account by visiting a TD Store location. All signers do not need to be present for the request to close a business account to be completed.
To locate your nearest TD Store location, we invite you to check out the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
As you stated that you are moving to another school, you may be interested in opening another, new, business account, and we'll be happy to provide you with all the information you may need to do so. First, we invite you to take a look at the Business account products that we currently offer. Feel free to use the link here: https://go.td.com/2lg0QHF.
If you're having trouble deciding, we invite you to take a look at our Business Selector Tool here: https://go.td.com/2qddtcK. This will make a personalized recommendation for you, based on your needs.
When you're ready to open your new account, we ask that you visit us at your local TD Store location, during lobby hours. If you'd like, you can even use the link above to schedule an appointment by clicking on the orange button below the account of your choosing.
It's important to note that some documentation will need to be presented in order for your account to be successfully opened. If your business account is going to have multiple signers, be sure to bring them with you for the account opening process. Those who are going to be signers on the account will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. If a non-resident is going to be accompanying you on your business account, please be sure that they bring two forms of valid I.D. with them, and please be aware that a W-8 BEN form may need to be filed. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification number for your business.
If you are looking to open an LLC, there are some additional documents you will need to bring with you, which include the documents used to form and register your business, as well as the fictitious name registration, or the Operating Agreement. While only one of the listed documents is required for account opening, we recommend that you bring more than one with you during your visit. Additionally, you will also need to bring documentation of your LLC Resolution.
If you have any questions, you may contact a Small Business Banking Specialist at 1-800-493-7562, option 2. Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be more than happy to help. In addition, as always, you're also welcome to visit a TD Store location. The first link provided above will direct you to your nearest Store location.
We hope this information was helpful, Eileen. We hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
