We're sorry to hear your account has been assessed fees, Rohit. We'd be happy to look into this for you.
One of the great perks of the TD Student Checking account is that there is minimum daily balance to maintain and no maintenance fee is charged. This does not necessarily mean that other fees, such as ATM fees, overdraft fees, or statement fees, may not apply. All of these fee types are avoidable and we'd be happy to provide you with options for how to avoid them entirely.
First we'd like to take a look at your account to find out what fees you've been assessed so that we can best advise you. As TD Helps is considered an unsecure forum, we do not have access to specific account information to assist directly, but please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at a local TD Bank Store. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. You also have the option of sending us your request by secure message through your online or mobile banking. To send a secure message, log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We can generally respond within 24 hours or less.
We see that you're writing in to us from Toronto. Please know that you've reached us here at TD Bank in the United States. If this is in regard to an account you hold at TD Canada Trust, we'd like to get you in touch with a representative there that can assist in reviewing the fees you've received. We recommend that you call their 24/7 Customer Service line at 866-222-3456. We also want to provide you with a link to all of TD Canada Trust's contact info. You can find that by clicking here: https://go.td.com/2tp27BR. We're certain they'll be able to figure out why you've received these fees and how to avoid them in the future.
We hope to hear from you soon so that we may resolve this for you. Take care, Rohit.
