We appreciate you coming to TD Helps today, Julie. We'll be sure to answer your question regarding cashing a TD Canada Trust check.
Non-Customers may not cash non-TD Bank checks. This includes checks drawn on other TD affiliates, such as TD Canada Trust.
You can bank in the U.S. as comfortably as you do in Canada and if you're interested in opening an account, we offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts. To view and compare all of our accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1ienPN4. Once you have decided on the type of the account you wish to open, you can simply click the "Open Account" button under the account type you want. You may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at (877) 700-2913 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone.
As always, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank Store to speak with a Banking Specialist regarding new account options to determine what product type fits you the best. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. You will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. If you are a Non-US resident and do not have a Social Security number you will need to bring two forms of identification, one form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID may be any of the following: Employment ID with Photo and Signature; State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature; Foreign Driver's License with Photo; US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date; College ID with Photo; Alien Registration Card with Photo or a Permanent Resident Card with Photo.
We hope this information helps and you have a great day.

That's an excellent question, Brendt! It would be our pleasure to point you in the right direction.
We'd like to let you know that TD Bank does not accept checks from other banking institutions from non account holders. We recommend reaching out to TD Ameritrade for options on cashing this check. Feel free to do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/10vBRGD .
Hope this helps and enjoy the rest of your week, Brendt! Take care.
