Welcome back, Janet,
Don't worry – we completely understand your question!
You'll be glad to know that we can convert your current checking account to another type of checking with no interruption to your current account number or your debit card. This means that you can continue to pay your bills and use your account as you normally would during the transition! The account type will typically be changed for you within 2-3 business days.
More details about our TD Simple Checking can be found on this page: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF. You can also take a look at the Account Guide at: http://bit.ly/1LkYBMc. This type of account has a flat monthly fee of $5.99 right now, which means that you'll pay this fee every month. However, no minimum balance will be required on the account, meaning that you can keep any amount in it that you choose.
To change your account type, we'd be happy to be of assistance via phone. Our Banking Specialists are available 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and can assist you in making a switch.
You're also welcome to send us a Secure Message to change your account type. To do so, please log in at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you have logged in, locate the Customer Service tab at the top right, and then click on Send a Message. Please submit your inquiry including your account number and the type of account you're requesting, and a friendly Representative will respond shortly.
Or if you're nearby, you're always invited to any local TD Bank Store where a Representative can provide help. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores for a listing of locations and hours near you.
Hope this answers all of your questions, Janet.
All the best and have a great evening!
