Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps, Dakhlia! Great question.
There are ways to make deposits to your account while abroad.
If you need to make a check deposit drawn from a U.S. bank account, you can use the mobile deposit feature in our app. To do this, download our app to your cell phone or tablet. Login using your online credentials. Once logged in, select the camera icon. If it's your first time using this feature, you'll need to accept the terms and conditions before making your first deposit. Once enrolled, you'll need to take a clean photograph of the front and back of your check. You'll then need to confirm the dollar amount before submitting it.
Mobile deposits submitted before our 8PM EST cutoff follow normal processing times and should be available to you the next business day. The only difference between a mobile deposit and any other teller or ATM deposit is that we do not make any funds available immediately. The full dollar amount is released once the check has been verified. For more info on deposit availability we recommend checking out pages 41-44 of the Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI.
You also have the option of using our Bank-By-Mail address to mail in your check deposit. Please note that if the check is a foreign check in foreign currency it may take longer to post to your account.
When mailing in your check deposit, please include your name and account number for proper crediting and send to:
TD Bank, N.A.
P.O. Box Number 1190
Lewiston, ME 04243
This P.O. Box is picked up daily and your deposit will post for the day it is received. As a reminder, cash should not be sent through the mail and TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
We hope this helps in making your deposit while you're away in France. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call. We're available 24/7 to help. To reach us while overseas, please use country code 011 and call 856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
We hope you have a good weekend, Dakhlia!
