Thanks for joining us on TD Helps, Penny. We'd be glad to help ensure your trip to Canada goes smoothly!
While traveling in Canada, you will be glad to know that if you withdraw funds at any TD Canada Trust ATM, you will not be assessed with any fees! To help you find TD Canada Trust ATMs near your travel destinations, please click here: http://bit.ly/1cZWU5e.
For transactions conducted at non-TD ATMs, the institution that owns the terminal or the network may assess a fee at the time of your transaction, including for balance inquiries. In certain instances, we will reimburse you for non-TD ATM fees depending on your account type. To take a look at our Fee Schedule, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
We also would recommend placing a Travel Notification on your account prior to your travel date; this will help to prevent any blocks to your ATM/Debit Card while you are traveling. You can do so by calling our Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000 or visiting a local TD Bank Store. To find a TD Bank near you, check out here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, another option would be to send a secure message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notification be added to your account. To send a secure message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling.
If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security Number, ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
By placing a Travel Notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.

We hope this helps, Penny and have a good trip!
