Thanks for writing in today Tricia. We're sorry to hear that you've encountered some difficulties.
Our automated phone system, known as bank-by-phone, was recently updated. The first time you call the new IVR, it will prompt you to enter either your account number or your TD Bank VISA Debit Card number. After that, it will ask you to confirm the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. After entering your SSN, you will then be asked to create a unique 4 digit Phone Code to use for future access in the IVR system. This Phone Code will replace your old Bank-by-Phone PIN and is independent of the PIN# associated with your VISA Debit Card. Some tips to remember when creating your Phone Code:
- Create something unique that will be hard for others to guess
- Choose numbers that you can remember, but do not easily relate back to you (i.e. birthdates, addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
- You should not continue to use the last 4 digits of your SSN
- We recommend *not* using the same code as your Debit Card PIN Number to prevent unauthorized access
You may find it helpful to review our Bank-by-Phone guide located here: http://bit.ly/1HuHfKI. If you have any questions about using the new system, please feel free to speak with a live Banking Specialist at 888-751-9000. We're available 24/7 to help navigate you through if necessary.
Have a great night, Tricia!
