Good afternoon, Jan. Thanks for reaching out to us.
It sounds like the payment may have already been processed when the transaction was cancelled. While PayPal may have cancelled the order, they likely were not able to stop the payment already in process. Depending on how this payment was processed, we may be able to help stop it from posting to your account.
If it was submitted for payment as an ACH using your account and routing number, we may be able to place a stop payment even while it's pending on your account. To do this, please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. There may be a fee for this service. Please review our Personal Fee Schedule for Stop Payment fee information by clicking here: https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK. If the transaction has posted to your account, an ACH dispute can be filed by calling the number above or visiting us at one of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
If this payment was made using your TD Bank Visa Debit Card and is still pending, we may be able to delete the authorization. To inquire into this, please give us a call at the number above. Please note that even if the authorization is deleted, the merchant may still have the ability to collect on that original authorization. If this should occur, we recommend first reaching out to the merchant directly to request a refund. If you're unsuccessful in this, please give us a call or step into one of our Stores so we may assist in filing in a merchant dispute.
We look forward to hearing from you soon and helping to get this resolved. Have a great day, Jan.
