That's a great question, Suzanne and thank you for coming to TD Helps and seeking for your answer. We're more than happy to respond.
By late 2015, chip technology will be the standard in the U.S. We definitely want our Customers to have access to the best security features right now and the new cards support that desire. We're happy to say that we will begin issuing chip-enabled debit cards in September 2015 to our Customers as their card expires. In early 2016, TD Stores will begin issuing chip-enabled debit cards as well.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You may also stop by your local TD Bank Store location for assistance. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Thank you again for your inquiry, Suzanne. Please do stop by again when you have another question for us and enjoy your holiday weekend as well!
