I just want to know how you charge for overdraft protection by transaction or day?

Great question, Jacky. We're glad you stopped by TD Helps today.
TD Bank currently offers three (3) overdraft services. Check out this link: https://go.td.com/2pYN3eS for more information.
Customers are automatically enrolled in the discretionary Standard Overdraft Service. This service allows all of your transactions to be considered for payment, except one-time debit card and ATM transactions, when you don't have enough money available in your account. There is a $35.00 fee per overdraft paid or returned with a maximum of 5 fees per day.
TD Debit Card Advance is an additional service that allows for one-time debit card and ATM transactions to be considered for payment when there aren't sufficient funds available in your account. You must enroll in this service to have access to its features. The $35.00 fee per overdraft paid or returned applies to this service as well. The maximum amount of fees we will charge per day is 5.
Please note: enrollment in this program does not guarantee that the every transaction that will overdraw the account will be approved. TD Bank may approve or decline transactions at its discretion.
Overdraft Protection is the third service TD Bank offers. Overdraft Protection links your checking account to your savings accounts so that in the event your checking account is overdrawn and there are sufficient funds in your savings account, our system will automatically complete one transfer at the end of the business day. There is a fee of $10.00 for each daily overdraft transfer. These transfers will count towards the transfer limitations as listed in your Personal Deposit Account Agreement provided to you at the time of account opening.
You must enroll in this service. You can sign up for Savings Overdraft Protection by visiting a TD Bank Store during lobby hours (click here: https://go.td.com/2k77X95 for locations and hours). You may learn more about Savings Overdraft Protection by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1lmjVaq ).
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any additional questions, Jacky.
