Thanks for connecting with us here on TD Helps, Sara, and thank you for choosing TD Bank for your mortgage!
When opening up a new checking account, we ask that you provide a legal address, such as the one on your valid photo ID, and a mailing address, where you would like statements and correspondence to be sent. These can be changed at any time once you have settled into your new home!
At TD Bank, we offer a wide array of accounts and we invite you to visit the below links for more information and invite you to take a look at your options prior to opening an account. For Checking account information please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1dbAcWh. For more information on Savings account you may click: http://bit.ly/1o4wfc4. There are several ways to open an account with us: online, over the phone, or in person. The documents that you will need to open the account are the following: Your Social Security number and ID (driver's license, State ID, or Passport). To open a personal account; you may apply Online by choosing the "Apply" option under the account type you wish to open. To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit. To open the account over the phone, you may call us directly 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and you will have up to 30 business days to make your initial deposit. Finally, you have the option of visiting us at your local TD Store to open an account. If you choose this option, you will need to make an initial deposit to the account you selected. There would not be a minimum requirement to open the account; however, some accounts have requirements in order to have certain fees waived. We would encourage you to review the link above prior to visiting a Store. For hours and locations near you, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Thanks again for visiting, Sara and have a fabulous day!
