Thank you for writing to us at TD Helps, Tammi.
Although the nearest location to your new home is an hour away, we do have other options that you may use to make deposits without having visit a Store. Please keep in mind that these options only apply to check deposits.
The first option to make check deposits is through Mobile Banking. However, limits do apply and please note that the $100 same day availability for deposits do not apply to Mobile Deposits. For more information on funds availability and deposits that may be applied for longer delays, please take a look here for our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pg. 35 -38). You may also visit http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF for more information and Mobile Deposit.
In order to use this option, you must have a smartphone (IPhone, Android, or Blackberry) and be enrolled to Online Banking. If you are not enrolled for online banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s). If you have any further questions about Mobile Deposits or need assistance please contact our Digital Banking Specialists 24/7 at 1 800-493-7562. We also invite you to take a look at http://bit.ly/1hOPk1H for more information about TD Mobile Banking.
Another option to make deposits is through Direct Deposit. Direct deposit is safer than checks, provides immediate access to your funds, and saves you time. If your employer offers this option, you may take advantage of this feature which allows your unlimited deposits for unlimited amounts and funds are available immediately. Check out http://bit.ly/WBPCRW for more information about Direct Deposit.
Finally, you can send a check by mail. you can mail it to the following address: TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, ME 04243
Please be sure to clearly write your account number and the words; “For Deposit Only” on the back of your check. We check our P.O. Box daily and transactions will be posted on the day they are received. Please also note that TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
Like any other deposits, a few simple guidelines apply:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail.
- Payee of the check and name on account should be the same.
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted for deposit only).
Thanks again for reaching out to us Tammi. We hope this helps but don't hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions. Have a nice day.
