they are usually direct deposited into my account, but that account is closed as of yesterday. I need to call social security as soon as possible to set up direct deposit. Is there any way that I can get any of this done online or on the phone without having to go into a TDbank location?

Thanks for joining us on TD Helps today, Heidi! We'd be glad to discuss your question with you.
There are a couple options on getting a new debit. You can contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 and one of our Specialists can order a debit card for you and have it mailed to your address. Please note that it can take 7-10 business days for shipping. If you need your debit card sooner than it coming in the mail, you're more than welcome to visit a TD Bank Store and we'll make one for you within minutes. To see our locations and hours check out http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once you have a TD Visa Debit Card activated, you can sign up for Online Banking online in no time! Along with needing a TD ATM/Debit Card, you will also need handy your Social Security number to fill out the online application to access your personal account(s). Please visit http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to enroll for TD Bank Online Banking. Once there, you will need to choose Personal from the drop down box. First, you'll have to accept the Online Banking Agreement. Then, we'll ask you to enter in your personal information (Name, Social Security number, account number, etc.) and finally, you will have to set up three security questions. After those 3 steps are completed, you will have immediate access to your account(s) online. Please feel free to also contact us at 1-888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist 24/7. After account verification, our Specialists would be happy to assist in signing you up for Online Banking, if you would like to enroll before receiving your new Debit Card in the mail!
In order to set up direct deposit for your Social Security benefits, you would need to provide them with your full account number and routing number. You can do this by giving Social Security a voided check or by providing them with our direct deposit form. You can download a copy of the form here http://bit.ly/1hLQ1cP or you can always feel free to ask a Customer Service Representative at your local TD Store to print it for you. Either would be sufficient to begin receiving deposits.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
