Hi William, welcome to TD Helps! We have enjoyed having you as a Customer as well and are sorry to see you go! We understand if you have moved and need to close your account, and can provide you with some options to do so.
As you mentioned that your account has remaining funds and you're no longer in the area of a TD Bank, you may request to close your account and have any available money in your account be sent to you by check. You can mail a written request with the following instructions:
▪Your name ▪Your account number(s) ▪Your request to close the account(s) ▪Your current address
For your security, please have the letter notarized. It can then be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A
P.O. Box 1377
Otherwise, we would recommend that you contact the TD Bank Store at which you opened your account for assistance. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores to find the contact information and lobby hours for your Store. And for any questions you may have, feel free to give us a call anytime it's convenient for you, 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
We hope this is helpful, William and thanks again for stopping by. Let us know of any other questions you have, and best of luck!
