Thanks for joining us, Jazmyn.
We'll be sure to provide instructions on how to close your simple savings account.
There are a few ways to close your simple savings account. You are able to visit a TD Store during lobby hours for assistance. To take a look at locations near you and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. You may also contact us directly 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and if the balance is zero, we can close the account. If the balance is not zero, we recommend removing any remaining funds, or transferring them to another open account.
You can also send your account closing request by Secure Message. To close your account through Secure Message, your balance must also be zero. In order to send a secure message you must first be enrolled in Online Banking and to start the process, please visit https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number and email address. Once enrolled, you may send a secure message by logging in here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq, and selecting "Send a secure message" located on the left hand side of the page, beneath "Message Center."
We hope this information helps, Jazmyn. We hope you have a great day!
