This does sound concerning, Fredeswinda, and we'd be glad to discuss.
Based on your concerns, it sounds as though your account is not currently active. A checking account is updated to an inactive status after 6 months of no activity. A savings account is changed to an inactive status after 9 months of no activity.
If your account is listed as inactive, your account and debit card will not accept transactions.
To reactivate your account, an over the counter deposit or withdrawal would need to be made with a Teller at your local TD Store. Feel free to take a look at TD Stores near you and their hours here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope to see you soon, Fredeswinda!
