Thanks for checking in with us, Heather! Great question, we're happy to help.
If you close an account, although you won't be able to use the same account number again in most cases, we're more than happy to assist you in opening a new account.
As you mentioned that the account was recently closed, we would recommend that you review this with one of our Specialists. If the account was closed via phone or email, please note that the closing process typically takes 2-3 business days, and your account may still be open. You're welcome to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 so that we can check it out for you. If it's no longer available, you can establish your new account by phone if you'd like. Please note that we would like to assist you directly, unfortunately, we do not have access to your personal information since this is considered an unsecured forum.
If your account was closed at a TD Bank Store, you are more than welcome to check with that Store location to determine if the account has already been closed or not. And of course, you would be welcome to open a new account during your visit if needed. Please see a listing of our Store locations at http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this info is useful, Heather! We appreciate you stopping by and visit again anytime.
