Hi Corinne, thanks for reaching out to us on TD Helps.
We are happy to inform you, even if your old debit card is closed, you should still receive the refund. Credits for merchant returns typically takes 3-5 business days to be credited back onto your TD Bank Debit Card. Please note, there are times when the funds may take longer to be credited to your account, as the refund is based on when we receive notice from the merchant.
If you have any further questions about your credit in particular, you may connect with one of our Customer Service Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
You can also keep track of a transaction to see if it has been posted to your account by calling our Automated Line at the same telephone number listed above or by logging into Online Banking. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you have not enrolled in Online Banking, you can do so for free by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, Social Security number, your email address and your current TD ATM/Debit card. If you run into any problems enrolling or if you do not have a TD ATM/Debit card to enroll online, please call us 24/7, again at the number mentioned above to speak with our Banking Specialists.
Please note that we also welcome you to stop by any TD Bank Store for assistance; please find a listing of the Stores closest to you at http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this information helps, Corinne. Have a wonderful day!
