Thanks for visiting TD Helps, Charles.
We do want to let you know that we are committed to being available when you need us. If you have relocated to an area where TD Bank does not have locations at this time, we do have some options for you to do all of your banking without visiting a Store.
As America’s Most Convenient Bank, we offer fully featured Online and Mobile Banking services and live telephone support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. And for example, you can always feel free to make a deposit using TD Bank Mobile Deposit. TD Bank Mobile Deposit is available for most iPhone and Android devices and to Customers of at least 90 days or longer with an active Checking, Savings or Money Market account. Please visit http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF for more information about this feature.
If you still wish to close your joint accounts and they are at a zero balance, you may contact our 24/7 Customer Service Department at 888-751-9000 and have the accounts closed via telephone. If the balance is zero, you can also send a Secure Message after logging in to your TD Bank Online account here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Please find the Customer Service tab and use the Send a Message link to submit your request.
If you still have a balance on your account or you have a Business account, an easy way to close the account is via mailed written request. You may request to close your account and have any available money in your account be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your name ▪Your account number(s) ▪Your request to close the account(s) ▪Your current address ▪Your signature
For your security, please have the letter notarized. It can then be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A Your Home Store's Address Your Home Store telephone Number
If you are unsure of which Store is your Home Store (the Store location where your account was opened at), take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStoresfor our Store locations.
Let us know if this helped answer your question and have a great day.
