My Spouse and I have joint checking account with TD bank US. Can I use my Canadian credit history to get the credit card in US? If I apply for US credit card at TD Bank using my Canadian Social Insurance Number, does credit bureaus in US get reported so I can start building my credit here?

We appreciate your visit here at TD Helps today, Dhruv.
It'll be our pleasure to provide you with additional details on how to establish credit here in the United States. Due to different banking laws from country to country, at this time, you are unable to transfer your Canadian credit history over to the U.S. However, since you mentioned you're looking to establish credit over in the US, you may apply for a lending product with us; which would aid you in that. Once you apply, we can look at your Canadian credit history to base the decision on if you'd like.
If you are interested in establishing credit by applying for a Credit Card in the U.S. please check out http://bit.ly/1cUjM2H for more information. Feel free to call TD Card Services 24/7 at 888-561-8861 to apply or if you have any additional questions. If you would like to apply for a different lending product, you can find further details on the products we offer by using the following links: http://bit.ly/1k2OInL, http://bit.ly/1eUCYz0, http://bit.ly/1wskm8D.
