Welcome to TD Helps and the TD Bank family, Whitney! We're glad you're here and will be happy to go over your new account with you.
If your account was established by phone or via online, you can visit any TD Bank Store location to make your first deposit prior receiving your new debit card in the mail. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
As you are new to TD Bank, we'd also like to go over the funds availability with you.
Generally speaking, when making check deposits with a Teller, the first $100.00 is made available immediately. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits can be held up to 7 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100.00 be made available at the time of deposit, but the rest of the funds will credit to your account the following business day.
Cash deposits made at the ATM or with bank tellers are available immediately on the business day on which they are deposited.
Check deposits made at a TD Bank ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day are considered deposits made on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays. If you make a deposit at an ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day that we are open, we will consider that to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit at an ATM after 8:00 PM, or on a day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day. Please note that there are exceptions that may cause delays in funds availability. We invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ . On pages 38-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop by any of the TD Store locations in your area.
Thanks again for visiting, Whitney! We look forward to talking with you soon and take care.
