saying if I can't make that deposit in the next 14 days, to contact you. I plan on being in the US on June 5th, is it ok to make the deposit at that time? Also, if I make my deposit at a store or ATM, will my funds be available right away?

Thanks for making a stop at TD Helps, Nathalie. Welcome to the TD Family!
Although it is recommended to make your initial deposit within 14 calendar days of opening your new TD Account, you will be pleased to hear that you do have 45 days to make the deposit. When you are in the States, for help locating the nearest TD Store, please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
As this sounds like your first deposit, we do recommend that it be made with a Teller instead of the ATM. Please also be aware that when your account is less than 30 days old, check deposits may not be fully available for 7-10 business days while they are being verified. Check out our Personal Deposit Account Agreement and the Standard Funds Availability section here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pages 38- 41).
Feel free to contact us at your convenience 24/7 at 888-751-9000 if you have any further questions. Or, you're more than welcome at any local TD Bank Store; please see http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a location near you.
We hope this helps and enjoy your weekend.
