Hi Audrey, thanks for reaching out to us today. We're glad you came to TD Helps with your banking concerns.
If you just opened an account with us, please know that any check cashing fees would be waived for you as a TD Bank Customer. Please understand that we may not be able to cash a non-TD check out immediately, but if you deposit this check, we will make the first $100 of all non-cash deposits available to you the same day of deposit. Additionally, the remainder of all ffunds from the first $5,000 of a day’s total deposits of cashier’s, certified, teller’s, traveler’s, and federal, state, and local government checks will be available on the first (1st) Business Day after the day of your deposit.
Please know that in most cases we are able to cash checks written from another TD Bank account however; these checks can be cashed and deposited into your account to be available immediately. For all other checks, funds may not be available for up to 7 Business days after the date of your deposit when the check has been cleared.
For more information about our funds availability for new accounts, please check out our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pgs. 38-41).
To find the nearest TD Bank Store to cash or deposit your check, please use our handy Store locator here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. And if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to connect with us by phone 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
Hope this helps Audrey. Enjoy your day!
