When making an ATM withdrawal from an international location, please make sure that the ATM machine displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. The TD Bank Debit Card may also be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance if a compatible ATM is not available. Please note non-TD ATM fees still may apply. Many ATMs outside the United States limit withdrawals to Checking accounts only, TD Bank Online can be used to transfer money from your Savings account to your Checking account should more funds be needed.
Typically before travelling, we recommend placing Travel Notifications on your account. If you have not already done so, you can by calling our Customer Service Line at 856-751-9000 or collect with operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
If you're setup for Online Banking, another option would be to send a secure message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secure message you must first log on to your TD Bank online profile here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. If you are not set up for Online Banking, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, Social Security number and ATM/Debit Card handy to complete the enrollment process.
If you need to call us while you're outside the United States you may do so by dialing the numbers listed above.
We hope this helps, Thomas and have a good trip!
