Thanks for making a stop here at TD Helps, Brian. We appreciate your interest in banking with TD Bank and would be happy to help.
As you're located within TD's footprint, which is Maine to Florida, you'll be glad to know that you can open and account with TD Bank via online, telephone, and Store.
Here at TD Bank, we offer many different types of Checking accounts. Prior to opening an account we encourage you to view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you.
To open a Checking account, you may apply Online by selecting the "Open Account: box located beneath each account listed. To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another Financial Institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit.
To open the account over the phone, you may call us directly 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and you will have up to 30 business days to make your initial deposit. Finally, you have the option of visiting us at your local TD Store to open an account. If you choose this option, you will need to make an initial deposit to the account you selected. There would not be a minimum requirement to open the account; however, some accounts have requirements in order to have certain fees waived. We would encourage you to review the link above prior to visiting a Store. For hours and locations near you, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please note, whichever option you choose, please be sure to have your Social Security number and ID (driver's license, State ID, or Passport) handy.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you need anything else.
