Thanks for reaching out to us on TD Helps, John. We appreciate your question and would be more than happy to respond.
As you currently have a TD Bank account with us in the United States and travel to Canada and spend the summer there, we do have a suggestion for you.
TD Bank N.A. is affiliated with TD Canada Trust in Canada. You may set up a deposit account with our friends in Canada directly. Once your TD Canada Trust account is opened, you can take advantage of our Cross Border Banking service. With this service, you'll be able to transfer funds between your TD Bank U.S. and TD Canada Trust accounts, free of charge. With this service, you can also request the transfer at the time you pick, when the exchange rate is in your favor.
If you wish to learn more about our Cross Border Banking service, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at 877-700-2913. With this feature, you are able to do your banking without having to visit a TD Store! For more information, you may also take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4. Lastly, please feel free to follow here: http://bit.ly/SRwvRR for instructions on how to open an account with TD Canada Trust.
