Thanks for reaching out to us, Crystal, and great question! We'll be happy to chat with you about your deposit.
First, we'd like to let you know that if you've misplaced your identification and you bank with TD Bank, you will still able to deposit the check to your account without the need for any ID card. You'll only need identification in the instance that you'd like to obtain cash back.
If your boyfriend banks with us, in most cases we can accept your check for deposit to his TD Bank account when you both visit a TD Bank Store with valid identification. An Endorsement Authorization & Release Form must also be completed at the time of the deposit. To find TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. As you mentioned that your ID is missing, if you still prefer to sign the check over to your boyfriend, we'd recommend visiting or contacting the Store to determine if any other options are available.
Please keep in mind, government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment to the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check.
If your boyfriend banks at another financial institution, we encourage you both to reach out to that bank for further information about their policies for third-party checks.
If you need further assistance, you may contact our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000, or feel free to visit your local TD Bank store for additional assistance.
Hope this answers your question, Crystal! We look forward to seeing you at one of our Stores soon.
