Thanks for your visit to TD Helps, Janet! We're happy to give you some information about funds availability for deposits at TD Bank.
Typically, if the deposit you made was a check deposit, the first $100 should be made available immediately. The rest of the funds are usually credited to your account on the following business day. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held for up to 7 business days for verification purposes.
If your deposit was made at TD Bank before 8:00 PM on a business day, it would be considered a deposit on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. As you've mentioned that your deposit occurred on Saturday, we will consider that the deposit was made on the following business day. For weekend deposits, this usually means that the deposit will be considered Monday's deposit and will post to your account Tuesday. Please keep in mind that if Monday of that week is a federal holiday, the deposit is considered for Tuesday and will post to your account on Wednesday.
As exceptions may occur which can cause delays in funds availability, we invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 35-37 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us at 1-888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist, available 24/ 7.
Thanks again for joining us, Janet! Take care and have a great day.
