Thank you for writing in today, Leo.
While we hate to see any of our Customers go, we understand that sometimes it's necessary to close an account. To do so, now that you're not near a TD Store we ask that you give us a call 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. As long as the account is at a zero balance and after account verification, a Representative will be able to close the account and transfer funds to your other account with us.
You may also send a notarized letter to your Home Store, which is the location where you opened your account, to request for it to be closed. In the letter please include: your account number, mailing address (if there's a balance on the account, this is where the check will be sent) as well as your signature. For a listing of Store locations please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps and have a good day!
