Thanks for coming to TD Helps, Tara. To avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage while in Mexico, we do ask that you connect with us to place a travel notification on your account. If you're still in the US, please connect with our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000. After account verification, our Specialists would be more than happy to help place a travel note on your account. If you prefer, you could also visit your local TD Bank Store. To find a TD Bank near you, we suggest you check out http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you are enrolled in Online Banking, another option to notify us of your travels is to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the travel notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s). By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. You may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc. Additionally, we'd also like to share that your TD Visa Debit Card is convenient, secure and rewarding - so you can shop and bank with confidence. You can use your debit card at millions of locations that accept VISA across the globe. When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any machine that displays the VISA or NYCE logo. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of the country. If you are unable to find an ATM that is compatible, with the TD Bank Debit Card, it may be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance. While travelling to Mexico, if your need to reach us, you may do so by dialing 1-856-751-9000. You can call collect from a landline at 1-215-569-0518. You can also send us a secure message if you do not have access to a telephone while travelling. Hope this helps answer your question and enjoy your time in Cancun, Mexico!
