I moved to New York and need proof of residency in order to get an account I have applied for an ID but it will take around two weeks to get to me and I have no other way of proving my residency. Would the bank accept my application for the ID instead because time is an issue?

I am sorry, I know that the bank will accept the ID, but I need to know if they will accept the application for it as proof or residency?
