Thanks for reaching us on TD Helps, Mark. We'd be happy to help.
Based on your question, it sounds as though you need a lien release. If the auto loan was through TD Bank, you may obtain the lien release of your vehicle a couple of different ways.
The first way is via fax. Please fax the following information to our Consumer Release Department at 207-753-3750:
• Your full name, address, and Social Security number
• The account number, if it is available
• The year, make, model and VIN, and the date it was paid off, if available
• Your request for Discharge Papers/Release of Lien
• Your signature
We also recommend including your best contact number and your return fax number so that we can assist you as efficiently as possible. Please keep in mind that the turnaround time for the request is typically 3-5 business days.
You could give our 24/7 Financial Solutions Group a call at 800-937-5020 or stop by your local TD Bank Store for assistance as well. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
Please note that if your Auto Loan was financed via TD Auto Finance, please contact a TD Auto Finance Representative for instructions to obtain your Release of Lien. They are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm at 1-800-556-8172 to help you.
We hope this helps, Mark. Have a good afternoon.
