It's great to hear from you today, Miriam, and we appreciate you bringing your concerns to TD Helps.
We're so sorry to hear that you have misplaced your debit card, and we'll be more than happy to help.
We'd first like to take a moment to explain in further detail that TD Helps is not considered a secure forum of contact. Because of this, unfortunately, we do not have access to your account or personal information to assist you directly with your debit card, and we'd like to recommend that you connect with us as soon as possible so that we may close your card for you.
Our Banking Specialists are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000; however, as you mentioned that you are out of the country, you may also call collect to reach a Specialist. To do so, you may simply connect with an operator from any landline device, and then ask the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
If you're unable to call, we understand, and would like to recommend that you send us a secure message instead. To send a secure message, you will first want to log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
Regardless of the method you choose, once you connect with a Specialist, they'll be more than happy to have your misplaced debit card closed, and can even request to have a new debit card shipped to your address.
We apologize again that we were unable to assist you directly, Miriam, but we look forward to hearing from you soon and assisting you with your debit card.
We hope you enjoy the rest of you Wednesday, and take care.
