I am trying to help my 91 year old mother try to close her TD Bank account as she no longer uses it. There is no address on the bank statement where we can mail our request. Please help.

Thanks for your question, Meg. We understand that banking needs change and we'd be glad to help your mother close her account.
As you mention that you are not within our footprint, the easiest way to close the account is via mailed written request. Your mother may request to close the account and any available money will be sent to her by check. Plese mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Her account number(s)
▪Her request to close the account(s)
▪Her current address
For account security, please have the letter notarized. It can then be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A P.O. Box 1377 Lewiston, Maine 04243-1377
If your mother has any questions or concerns, please contact our Banking Specialists 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000.
We hope this helps, Meg and have a good day.
