Thanks for stopping by TD Helps, Haroon! We'll be glad to give you some options on how to deposit funds into your brother's account.
Although TD Bank currently does not have any locations in California, there are several ways that you can make a deposit into his account.
First, all TD Customers with a deposit account have the option to use our Bank-by-Mail service to send us a check or money order which can be deposited into your account. To send us a deposit on behalf of your brother, please mail a check or money order to:
TD Bank, N.A., ME2-001-033, P.O. Box Number 1190, Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
If you need to FedEx or UPS a mail-in deposit to us, you can send it to the address below:
TD Bank, Bank by Mail, 140 Mill Street, Lewiston, ME 04243
Please keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail and here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket (if applicable) should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy (if applicable)
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
Also, if your brother banks online with TD, he has the option to request money from you electronically via our Person-to-Person Payment service. This feature allows for requests to be made from TD Bank accounts and allows the TD Customer to receive money domestically from any account inside and outside TD Bank without having to visit a Store. We invite you to check out http://bit.ly/1cz3aim for all of the exciting details. To use this feature, the TD Customer will need to have an online profile and log into our main website at www.tdbank.com.
Once logged into your online banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature (The “Person-to-Person” tab should show at the top of your page after logging into your TD Bank online banking. As long as you have a valid U.S. address, phone number, and email address on file, you should be able to send funds using this option to another U.S. account). You will then be asked to accept the user agreement, review the fee schedule, and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and the email address we have on file for you. Next, we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete, you’ll be ready to request a payment from another person via email.
This feature does come with limits on the amount you can send or receive. For the information on the payment methods and amounts, please check out this link: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD (Pg 3. section 1.16). If you should have any questions about enrolling in this service or requesting money, feel free to reach out to us 24/7 at 800-493-7562.
We also recommend connecting with a financial institution that you may bank with so that you may review any additional options they may be able to provide you to make a transfer into your brother's account here at TD.
We hope this helps and come by any time you have a question, Haroon! Take care and have a great evening.
