Thanks for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Tony. We are more than happy to guide you in the right direction.
If your Auto Loan was held with TD Bank and it has been paid off or at a $0 balance, to obtain this documentation, a fax is required. Please fax the following information to our Consumer Release Department at 207-753-3750:
• Your full name, address, and Social Security number • The account number, if it is available • The year, make, model and VIN, and the date it was paid off, if available • Your request for Discharge Papers/Release of Lien • Your signature
We also recommend including your best contact number and your return fax number so that we can assist you as efficiently as possible. Please keep in mind that the turnaround time for the request is typically 3-5 business days.
Should you like any assistance during this process, please contact a dedicated Financial Solutions Group Representative directly at 800-937-5020, and select Option 2. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience. You may also stop in to any of our convenient store locations for help. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please note that if this was a Auto Loan that was financed via TD Auto Finance, please contact a TD Auto Finance Representative for instructions to obtain your Release of Lien. They are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm at 1-800-556-8172 to help you.
We hope you find our answer helpful and please don't hesitate to return to TD Helps if you have any further questions.
