I was in NJ-Wildwood for 3 months within the scope of the Work and Travel program. I am from Turkey.
Before I left the country, I withdrew all my money from my account but I could not remember whether or not my account is closed. One of my friends has come back from USA recently and she warned me about the fact that a fee may be required to be paid if my account is not closed when I am older than 25. I will not go to USA in near future or I will never get to chance to go there again. So I cannot check it via the local branch.
Additionally, since my bank card is expired, I haven't tried to activate online banking in order to check the account. Can you please help me about the subject?

Hi Seda! Thanks for stopping by TD Helps.
It sounds like you may have had a TD Student Checking account while you were here in the U.S. With that account type, we do waive any monthly maintenance fee for 5 years or until the owner reaches the age of 24, whichever comes first.
If your account with us was not closed at the time you withdrew your funds, we should be able to confirm this for you. Don't worry! A trip to the U.S. won't be necessary. So that we may access your account, we recommend giving us a call so that we may review this for you. To contact us by phone from outside of the United States, please use country code 011 and call 856-751-9000 or call us collect from a landline with operator assistance at 215-569-0518. We have representatives available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help.
We hope to hear from you soon so that we can resolve this for you. Take care, Seda!
