We appreciate your visit to TD Helps today, Joan! Great question and we're happy to assist you.
You'll be glad to know that TD Bank, N.A. in the United States does not charge any foreign transaction fees for purchases made with your TD Bank Visa Debit card at this time. We invite you to review pages 40-41 of our Deposit Account Agreement at http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information about the exchange rate for purchases.
Please note, for your protection, TD Bank continually monitors your debit card activity, and we may decline any irregular TD debit card or ATM transaction that is attempted. As you're making a payment to a vendor in China, we encourage you to give a Representative a call prior to the purchase at 888-751-9000 24/7 so that we may note this intended transaction on your account for you. And if you'll be making the purchase in person, please also provide us with the dates and any other locations you'll be visiting when you call, so that your card will continue working as expected. You're also welcome to visit any nearby TD Bank Store for assistance, and please find your Store here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you're referring to your TD Bank Visa Credit Card, please note that fees for foreign purchases may apply. We encourage you to review a general copy of the Personal Credit Card Agreement at http://bit.ly/1klVfbF. The Interest Rate and Fee Schedule can be found on Page 12, and information on the exchange rate at Page 2. You may also wish to contact TD Card Services directly at 888-561-8861 to request a copy of your specific agreement or discuss your card directly.
As we've noticed you're writing us from Canada, if you have an account with TD Canada Trust and will be making the purchase with your Access Card, please see here: http://bit.ly/1zh59YA. Our friend Kyle with TD Canada Trust has already provided some valuable info for you. If you have additional questions for TD Canada Trust, you're also welcome to visit at http://bit.ly/1kD3iFr to connect with TD Helps there.
We hope this is helpful information, Joan! Let us know of any other questions and have a wonderful evening.
