Hi Donna Marie, thanks for joining us this morning at TD Helps. We'd be glad to go over some transfer options for you.
A great way to transfer funds from your TD Bank account to another account of yours with a different financial institution is by using our External Transfer feature via your Online Banking profile. To use this feature you must first be enrolled in Online Banking. If you have an ATM/Debit Card and Social Security Number, and have not yet enrolled your personal account(s), please do so by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Once there, you will need to choose 'Personal' from the drop down menu. Signing up for TD Bank Online is quick and easy – allowing you to view your account(s) in just three simple steps. First, you'll have to accept the Online Banking Agreement. Then, we'll ask you to enter in your personal information (Name, Social Security Number, account number, debit card, etc.) and finally, you will have to set up three Security Questions. After those 3 steps are completed, you will have immediate access to your account(s) online.
Once you've logged in, to send an external transfer, please select the "Transfer" tab and click on the "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank". You will need to input the account information for your account with the other institution by clicking on the "Add a New Account" link. You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes. You’re welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1pADlWD for all of the exciting details.
Please be aware that this service is available for all TD Bank personal accounts as long as you have a valid U.S. address and U.S. Social Security Number on file for your account(s). Also, please know that fees may apply for this service. For more information, please review our Personal Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Please also be aware that Savings & Money Market accounts are regulated by the governmental Regulation D, a restriction which limits the amount of pre-authorized debits per statement cycle. This regulation does not restrict any deposits made into a savings account, only debits or transfers out of the account. The limitations on Money Market and Savings accounts include up to 6 pre-authorized debits/transfers (overdraft protection, transfer to checking account, transfer to any other account) per statement period. Please review pages 6 & 7 of our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information about this regulation. Checking accounts are not restricted by this regulation.
If you're looking to transfer funds from another institution in to your TD Bank account, then we recommend reaching out to that institution to confirm the transfer methods available to you. Please know that certain fees may apply to receive incoming transfers depending on the type of TD Bank account you have. Once you confirm the payment methods available with your other institution, please refer to our current Fee Schedule above to determine if a fee would apply to receive that type of transaction.
If you have any further questions or need assistance enrolling in the above features, please contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Our Specialists are available 24/7 for your convenience and would be happy to answer all of your questions and provide further assistance if necessary. If possible, you could also step inside your nearest TD Bank Store found here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps Donna Marie. Have a great day!
