Thanks for making a stop at TD Helps, Jim. We'd be happy to help.
To initiate a domestic or international wire transfer from your account, you will need to visit a TD Bank Store. For hours and locations near you please take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
To send a domestic wire you will need the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
To send an international wire all you need is:
· The full name, address, including city, state/province, country and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number) you are sending money to
· The full name and address, including city, state/province and country of the financial institution receiving the funds
· The amount and currency of the transfer
Keep in mind also that depending on the currency you are sending, some transactions may take longer than others. You may want to contact the other financial institution to determine what information they require to receive the wire. Please see the link listed below for all applicable fees that may apply.
However, if you are looking to send funds domestically you may be able to use our Person-to-Person transfer feature via your Online Banking. This feature allows you to send money domestically to any account inside and outside TD Bank without having to visit a Store. To use this feature, you must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you have not enrolled in Online Banking yet, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card, please call our 24/7 Specialist at 1-888-751-9000 to enroll. Once you’ve enrolled for Online Banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
Keep in mind that transfer fees may apply, for our fee schedule follow this link: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. We would also recommend checking with the other financial institution to ensure no other additional information is required as well as to obtain information regarding any additional fees for their services. And please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
However; if you have a TD Business account and utilize BusinessDirect, you may send domestic wire transfer via BusinessDirect. Additionally, you may also send International wire transfer via TD eTreasury. To learn more about eTreasury we ask that you take a look here: http://bit.ly/WOp4w8. The tabs towards the bottom of the page, specifically the FAQs and Resources tabs, have some information that you may find useful in your decision process to enroll for eTreasury.
In order to enroll for eTreasury, you must visit a TD Store during lobby hours and speak with our Representatives there. They would be able to review the enrollment process and any applicable fees.
Just in case if you are not currently enrolled for TD Bank BusinessDirect, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/1dl2HX6. Once you’re at the “Sign Up for TD Bank BusinessDirect” page, please complete the application. You will need your Business Taxpayer Identification Number, account number, ATM/Debit card number, the business name, and your e-mail address. When you are finished with the application, you will receive an e-mail confirmation within 2 business days that contains your User ID and password. In case you don't have a debit card or would like to have immediate access to online banking, you could visit your local TD Bank Store for help.
Please feel free to visit here; http://bit.ly/1bEQmZW for all you want to know about BusinessDirect online banking and we encourage you to click on View Demo (which is located in the middle of this page) to explore this website in details. Any additional questions about BusinessDirect online banking can be answered by our Small Business Team. They can be reached 24/7 at 800-493-7562.
While there, you may speak with your Representative about sending an international wire. Please be advised to bring the receiving bank's wire instructions when you visit.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.
