We understand your concern, Eleanor. We'd be glad to discuss.
If you've noticed that a check you've written has not been processed as of yet, we recommend contacting the payee directly to determine if the check was lost or stolen. If you do find that the check was lost or stolen, we recommend placing a stop payment on the check.
You are able to place a stop payment with a Representative 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting any TD Store. To take a look at TD Stores near you and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, you are also able to place a stop payment online. If you're not currently enrolled for Online Banking, you may do so by clicking: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, ATM/Debit Card number and Social Security Number to enroll online. Once you're logged in, please click on the "Customer Service" tab and then "Stop Payment."
Please know that there may be fees assessed for placing a stop payment. To take a look at fees that may apply please visit http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
In regards to your direct deposit, we recommend first reaching out to your depositor. You are also able to call using the number mentioned above or by visiting a TD Store. Our Representatives will be glad to research the deposit for you.
We hope this helps, Eleanor and have a good day.
